What can be done to eradicate the caste system in Sikhism?
The
caste system cannot be eradicated unless ‘caste is eradicated’. Annihilation of
ALL traces of caste is the only solution.
A mere belief that a person has a caste is ‘propagation of the caste system’ because the ONLY purpose of belonging to a caste is to plug into the caste system.
STEPS
TO ANNIHILATE CASTE (Mainly
understanding):
Let every Sikh know that if they have a
caste, “They are not Sikhs” and
1. IF
they are Sikhs, they do
not have a caste.
2. Let them know that if they believe they have a
caste, they are Hindus and should stop complaining when the RSS/Brahmins calls
them Hindus.
3. Let
them know that it is the casteist Sikh that is the greatest enemy of Sikhism
and not the Manuvadi Brahmin. Caste Identity turns your head away from the
essence of true Sikhism.
4. Ask the question and keep asking until caste is annihilated , “In modern society, Is there ANY benefit of having a caste identity?”
Nobody
has a caste. It is man-made to control man. Your ancestors were MADE TO BELIEVE that
they belonged to or had a caste. A belief that you have a caste is
psychological condition which CAN BE CURED. Its just a matter of understanding.
The
above points are in line with Sikh philosophy.
5. Now go
ahead and propagate the above and set an example for other Sikhs to follow.
When the khalsa was established, the adherents FIRST discarded their caste
identities.
